clear gel disc hub. i find myself tempted by custom packaging ideas. even though the future is downloading/streaming, physical media still has its pull... and maybe always will.

i feel like i got a promotion. new office, new carpet, new paint on the walls. my green couch looks so happy here. i've been here for two years and i don't see any reason to leave. just picked up a touchscreen from a grant i was awarded. i love the classes i teach, my colleagues are my friends (shari, amp, lili), i have a lot of freedom, and i'm finally getting organized enough to dedicate decent blocks of time to creative work. life is good.

notes on Ronald Hwang cspan2: Detroit's big 3 (GM, Ford, and Chrysler) are in trouble, suv sales are dropping fast, they're way behind Toyota etc. in hybrid development (will have to import 80% of components), spend 6x competitors on health insurance since there is no national plan.

i enjoy the KZSU track by track descriptions of IA releases. for Oh Astro:
Electronic collage of tempos, beats, and movement. Words purposely cut off giving an ADD type of vibe. Staring into a broken television screen. FCC clean. Fav 2. 5. 6.
1. Someone keeps changing the channel.
2. Dance studio blasting across street, with cars streaming through..
3. Argumentative.
4. Flickering TV.
5. Robot dance.
6. An Aquarium Circus accompanied by an accordion band.

Are climate-change advocates wrong to blame Katrina's fury on man-made global warming?

from the V/Vm mailing list: "For sure the revolution will not be advertised in the Wire but how refreshing to see an advert such as the Goodiepal's where no references such as "a blinding debut" NME, "10 out of 10" Q Magazine "so eclectic" MOJO etc. etc. are present. There is no glossy turd being marketed as gold for sale. Instead some hacked and stolen synth is there along with his Hacker Pack and a list of his favourite eBay sellers. Liberation dear friends, liberation from the monotony of boring as fuck adverts you see these days. Generic ad's from generic people selling generic guff in the most generic magazine of modern times. Adventures in generic networking brainwashing and promoting our friends." > > > >

"What you get if you get time as an essential organizing structure is the thrill of expectant consideration and the idea that possibility, unpredictability, shift, random meaning, or surprise can be more than mere subjects in art, but actual occurrences as well." -Chris Bruce
